Executive search and consulting is what Rothley does – we know the business, and we take the time to know your business and its specific context, culture and challenges.   

Where we’ve come from

Rothley was founded in 2015 by Sean Brunner in partnership with MartinJenkins. Sean has more than 15 years’ experience in executive search and recruitment – in consulting, relationship management and leadership roles. As Rothley’s Director he brings a deep knowledge of the industry, including its challenges and weaknesses, and a personal drive and commitment to provide a better, more partnership-based service to clients.

Sean Brunner

Sean Brunner

Director

Sean is Rothley’s Director, specialising in Executive Search and Consultancy. Before founding Rothley with MartinJenkins in 2015, Sean was a Director and Practice Lead with a global professional recruitment firm in New Zealand and Australia (Robert Walters).

Sean has extensive experience in search and in recruiting mid- to senior-level positions for clients in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. His leadership, consulting and relationship management experience spans more than 15 years.



Bridget Vaney

Bridget Vaney

Director

Bridget joined the executive search industry in 2006 and has worked as a Researcher, Senior Associate and Consultant for several high profile New Zealand search firms. She has helped lead the development of robust search methodologies and provided advice on numerous search assignments at chief executive, director and senior leadership level across the government, commercial and not-for-profit sectors.

  

 

 

Josh Blackmore

Associate Director

Josh is an Associate Director in Rothley's Wellington office, specialising in Executive Search and Consulting.

Josh has 10 years’ experience recruiting executive, mid- to senior-level and specialist positions in New Zealand and the UK.  Before joining Rothley, Josh was a Practice Lead for a global professional recruitment firm for four years where he led a team focussing on accounting and financial services appointments. He has an extensive network across the New Zealand management community and is valued by his clients for his honesty and quality of delivery.

Kate Murdoch

Principal Consultant

Kate is a Principal Consultant in Rothley's Auckland office, specialising in executive search and professional recuitment.

Kate's experience is extensive. She has previously worked at Senior Consultant and Management level for a prominent global executive recruitment firm in London, Auckland and Wellington and has proven experience recruiting at mid-senior management level. Kate is sought after for quickly understanding and solving the most complex and challenging resourcing requirements. 

Sally Gould

Associate Director

Sally’s first role in executive search was in 2008 when she joined a leading search firm as a Researcher. In that role, her innate curiosity helped uncover talent and her engaging manner influenced and determined positive results. Following this position, Sally was a Senior Consultant managing a marketing and communications recruitment portfolio, and was most recently a fundraising manager - both roles relying on Sally's commitment to building quality relationships through personal engagement .
